Our Vision
We inspire people everywhere to connect with their family—
across generations.
Free to All
FamilySearch resources, including centers like ours, help millions of people around the world discover their heritage and connect with family members at over 5,700 local family history centers. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints offers FamilySearch accounts free of charge to everyone, regardless of tradition, culture, or religious affiliation. Signing up for a free account will not subject you to proselyting or any other contact from the church.
What We Do
The American Fork FamilySearch Center, one of 37 largest Centers in the world with 140 volunteers, helps families discover their history through our website, mobile apps, FamilySearch, 15 free partner sites, and in-person help. We strive to create a productive and exceptional experience for each of our patrons. This website is our calling card, capability brochure, and scheduling center. It is part of our community and patron outreach.
Our Focus at the American Fork Center
The abundant genealogy and family history information from seemingly endless resources can be overwhelming, leaving many lacking in confidence, or not knowing where to even begin. We can help!
Our American Fork FamilySearch staff developed a Quick Start Training Guide, available free to all for printing or downloading under Getting Started. We teach FamilySearch fundamentals because it is the easiest, most productive, most accurate way to grow the world family tree.
