Scanners & Equipment
High-Resolution and High-Speed Scanning Equipment for Archiving Pictures, Slides, Periodicals, & OCR Conversion
Bring Your USB Drive!
Most projects require per session an empty USB drive with a minimum 8GB up to 64GB of memory capacity to store scanned files. Larger USB drives are not encouraged to prevent loss of valuable data and to prevent exceeding equipment maximums.
USB 3.0 or higher drives are substantially faster and reduce scan times
We recommend at the end of your session transferring the files from your USB flash drive to one or more larger drives at home for safe keeping and sharing, leaving your USB empty and ready for next use
It is safest to buy a USB drive from a Big-box (Walmart, Smiths, Best Buy etc.) and a reputable brand (PNY, SanDisk, Samsung, Kingston or Corsair)
NOTE: There are many counterfeit drives sold on Amazon and eBay containing a fraction of their listed storage capacity with slower transfer times and unpredictably creating empty (lost) files or blank spaces in saved data..
